Fun Facts:
- Native to mountainous areas in southern Africa.
- Genus is named after Johann Hieronymus Kniphof, a German physician and botanist.
Also known by it’s common name, Red-Hot Poker, this perennial boasts showy flower stalks in orange, red, pink and yellow pastels. The stalks rise above clumps of coarse blueish-green foliage. This tropical looking perennial does well in a sunny garden or as a show stopping cut flower.
