A durable yet charming rhododendron with small trusses of bright lavender-purple blooms that contrast with the small, dark green leaves. The evergreen foliage takes on a mahogany-brown winter color.

This variety is noted for its tolerance for heat as well as cold. An excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, or containers.

TIPS ON CARE:

• Sun to part shade
• Blooms in early spring
• Prepare the soil by mixing 2/3 soil, 1/3 White Oak Organic Planting Mix and the recommended amount of Bio-Tone Starter Plus fertilizer
• Check the plant for water every 3-4 days. If the soil under the mulch is dry go ahead and give it a good drink
• Add a 2″ layer of mulch, being sure mulch does not come into contact with the trunk
