Oakleaf Hydrangea ‘Ruby Slippers’
A profusion of exceptionally large white blooms in summer that quickly age to deep pink. Robust blooms remain upright even after heavy rains. Dark green, deeply lobed oak-like foliage turns brilliant mahogany in fall. The compact form works in smaller landscapes and is useful for mass planting, hedges or borders.
TIPS ON CARE:
- Part shade
- Blooms in summer
- Prepare the soil by mixing 2/3 soil, 1/3 White Oak Organic Planting Mix and the recommended amount of Bio-Tone Starter Plus fertilizer
- Check the plant for water every 3-4 days. If the soil under the mulch is dry go ahead and give it a good drink
- Add a 2″ layer of mulch, being sure mulch does not come into contact with the trunk
