Fun Facts:

– The name originates from the Latin verb “lavare” which means ‘to wash’. Lavender was an important part of bathing rituals in ancient Rome because of its disinfectant and antiseptic properties.

– It has antiseptic, antibacterial and analgesic properties. It is used in treatment of headaches, insect bites, burns, muscle and joint aches and insomnia in folk medicine.

– Mice, flies, mosquitoes and moths don’t like the smell.
